Location - Reading/Basingstoke area
Package - £21,150 - £25,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

As an Accelerator Operator, you will be supporting the Hardening and Vulnerability suite of simulators that help to qualify the performance of our deterrent.
The role will involve undertaking all necessary training to accomplish the safe and efficient operation of the accelerator, provide support to the trials team with experiments, routine/ non-routine maintenance and to work as part of a team to provide a reliable efficient capability to our customers.
We would love to hear from individuals with an ONC in an engineering/science discipline, along with two years post qualification experience OR HNC in an engineering/science discipline. Someone with practical experience in experimental or operational environment High voltage experience is preferred.
You will need the following, to be considered:
An excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow operational instructions effectively
General knowledge of legislation, relevant to managing high hazard operations
Practical working knowledge of the importance of creating Operating or work instructions
Competent to work within the requirements of SQESH procedures and legislation
Able to safely use specialised equipment following specified procedures (Work Instructions, drawings and Company Safety documentation)
Working knowledge of MS Office
It would be desirable for you to have the following (not essential):
Awareness of electrical safety, Manual Handling, and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
A basic understanding of the key principles of vacuum technology
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
