Business Development Consultant (Engineering Consultancy)

Corporate Risk Associates has been an Assystem owned business since 2020. We are established as one of the UK's largest integrated Risk, Safety and Human Factors consultancies, renowned for 1st class delivery of quality services to the Critical National Infrastructure in the UK and overseas.
We have a long history of helping current nuclear operations and new build projects manage their safety and risk in the civil and defence nuclear sectors. This provides opportunities for varied project work for our staff.

Summary
We are seeking a Business Development & Sales Consultant to work closely with our Business Development Manager and Service Leads. Ideally, with a background in engineering consultancy, you will be familiar with, and well-versed in, recommending technical service solutions. This is a BD support role and will therefore not be viewed as fee-earning. However, depending on background and experience, you may be asked to contribute to fee-earning work and projects on an occasional as needed' basis. In such cases, you would be fully supported by CRA technical leads / subject matter experts.

Role Responsibilities:
Wide-ranging: including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Supporting the Senior BD/Sales team as required with a range of tasks
  • Coordination with the Assystem business development and sales teams to understand current activities and identify areas where CRA services could be required by current clients
  • Close coordination with the CRA Service Leads to help communicate CRA services both internally within the wider Assystem group and externally to potential clients
  • Coordination with the Assystem marketing team on marketing initiatives, events, projects, initiatives, social media campaigns etc
  • Helping to build the CRA team, in collaboration with the Senior BD/Sales team and Service Leads, through recruitment of staff and Associates to meet envisaged customer needs.
  • Using your network and influence to develop work with existing and new customers
  • Strengthen and extend relationships with our existing customers.
  • Help develop relationships with potential collaborators
  • Actively search for opportunities using our current registrations/frameworks and help establish new ones.
  • Support the marketing and organisation of CRA's annual Risk and Safety Forum.
  • Undertake client lead role when requested, which includes liaison with different departments, services and levels within the client organisation and CRA. Acting as the point of contact where required.
  • Develop the CRA service offerings and ensure that they are fully integrated into the existing CRA Safety and Risk Management business.

Qualifications:
Degree-qualified in a relevant STEM subject such as Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Nuclear or Chemical Engineering or Physics or Mathematics.
