Job Description

We are looking for an experienced production planner to help define and deliver best production planning and associated processes in a busy operational environment. The successful applicant will be a positive 'change agent' who is hands on, able to deliver change whilst helping the existing team deliver an effective planning service.

Location - Reading area

Salary - £33,550.00 - £46,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

Within this position you will:

Support effective operations and production planning enabling of delivery of the order book. You will drive continuous improvements in the production/operations planning process from within a delivery unit, working closely with local and functional management. The post holder would be based in one delivery unit but will work to help spread and adopt best practice across the production business and would be expected to rotate around other delivery units.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Balancing demand and supply within the Operations Support Team (XOS) order book, co-ordinating and de-conflicting demand and capability
  • Co-ordination of the tech centre order book by driving & supporting the demand/order book review process
  • Translate the Master Production Schedule/Supplemental Schedule requirements into detailed plans with daily granularity ensuring effective and efficient delivery.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and to be a great team player
  • Additional accountabilities for this job profile may be defined and appointed through the Chief Engineer Management Arrangements, with appointees listed within the Company Design Authorities and Technical Authorities, as held in the company management system.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Production planning experience in a busy complex operational environment
  • A track Record of delivering change
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills
  • 5+ years' experience in a Production Planning role
  • Production Planning experience and use of MES Systems, for example SAP, Oracle, Jobscope, Primavera P6

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
