As our reputation for proficient delivery of complex projects grows even stronger, we have a need for a Senior Data Architect to join the Digital Division.

The Role: Senior Data Architect


In this newly created role, the Senior Data Architect will develop, nurture, and realise the vision and strategy for data use within Assystem and our client organisations. They will be responsible for growing new data services and capability within Assystem that will enable us to deliver the energy and defence strategy in the UK.

The role will involve:

  • Strong data modelling and data architecture for both modern platforms and traditional data warehousing techniques.
  • Experience of data analytics solutions (e.g. Azure/AWS) query (SQL/XML) and programming languages (e.g. Javascript/Python)
  • Advise & Support IT in managing software products including but not limited to incorporating new version releases and customization of the product
  • Support the implementation of industrial data environments
  • Evaluate Industrial software and technologies
  • Stay informed on best practices for use of data management and governance
  • Support & develop Web, literature, interviews, presenting at relevant customer focused conferences
  • Experience of Oracle, BIM or PLM platforms would be an advantage

About You:

Ideally you'll have experience from highly regulated industries such as Nuclear, Energy, Transportation, and Infrastructure, but we will happily consider applications if you have experience from other data rich industries.

  • Experience in a relevant discipline
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including public speaking and negotiation
  • Knowledge of architecture, engineering, information technology or related discipline in relation to construction
  • Knowledge of ISO19650 standards and COBie
  • Familiarity with a Common Data Environment platforms, Autodesk, Navisworks, 4d tools, Oracle technology, IFS and PLM systems
  • Systems design and development
  • Knowledge of Asset information systems design and implementation
  • Experience of business process automation
  • Design of system ownership, governance and roles and responsibilities
  • Experience of Cost benefit analysis

Security clearance:

Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
