Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

As our reputation for proficient delivery of complex projects grows even stronger, we have a need for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be based in our Warrington Office.
Senior Mechanical Engineer
The purpose of the project is to put back to service a dual lifting capability system using two incell handling cranes. This is to remove a current demand on a maintenance crane capability which is currently being used for all in-cell operations through manual mode of operation.
As our Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work in teams delivering various Nuclear engineering design projects. You will provide support to current projects and operate within a team delivery successful engineering solutions.
Production of Mechanical Handling Diagrams (MHDs), Mechanical Flow Diagrams (MFDs), Design Proposal Drawings (DPDs), Mechanical Sequence Diagrams (MSDs) to support HAZOP 2 Studies
Develop Essential Health and Safety Requirements (EHSR) Reports, Regulation and Harmonised Standards Identification, Safety Legislation Applicability Review Form (SLARF).
Be conversant with Radiological Assessment requirements.
Produce Designers Risk Assessments (DRAs), Method Statements (MS), Outline Installation Method Statements (OIMS).
Review and check manufacturing drawings.
Produce scoping and detailed calculations.
Understand and identify CE / UKCA Marking requirements and manage production of system Technical Files, establish Machinery Boundary Limits
Participate in and advise on all design activities and initiatives, including documentation review etc.
Determination of gaps between the configuration baseline and site survey reports.
Proactive interaction with other disciplines and partners to ensure overall project goals are met. Drive innovative solutions to reduce cost and schedule.

Higher Education / Degree Qualification or equivalent
Substantial mechanical handling experience
Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers and the project team.
Will be able to check team members work output
Shall have a good understanding of key legislation compliance and how it is achieved and demonstrated within a project.
Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
