Senior Piping Engineer - Nuclear

Location : Warrington / WFH (or Cumbria office)

Duration : Staff

The Project:

The HVAC and Piping categories focuses on issues relating to the heating, ventilation and air conditioning of plants and delivery of piped services to buildings across the nuclear infrastructure site.

The Role:
You will be responsible for providing technical support to all aspects of piping engineering for both piped services (LP steam, HP steam, condensate, instrument air, carbon dioxide, demineralised water, domestic water) and process pipework.
You will be familiar with nuclear pipeline specifications, standards and procedures and technically competent in the following areas:

- Pipe support requirements & calculations
- Fabrication, installation and testing requirements
- Production of technical documents including Design Justification Reports and CDM Docs
- Manage content of schedules (pipeline, valve, in-line fittings)
- PER / CE requirements
- Support to assurance / model reviews
- Assist with the checking of piping deliverables when required

You will work collaboratively with the space management lead and piping designers who will be responsible for the detail design of the piped systems including all routing and space management aspects.:

Your background:

You will need to have experience in a role having direct influence over piping engineering practice and outcomes. Also, you will have engineering industry experience working within a highly regulated industry, ideally some of which within the nuclear industry.

Ideally you will have working familiarity / experience of the following tools; AutoCAD, PDMS, Revit, Navisworks Freedom Viewer, Inventor, AVEVA Intelligent P&ID, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.).

Security clearance:
Due to the nature of work to be undertaken, applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
