Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Planning Manager to support the delivery of a single order book ensuring capacity is appropriately scheduled and materials managed to meet the programme requirements.

Location - Reading / Basingstoke Area (Burghfield)

The Role:

  • Ensure material requirements are planned and available to support production operations
  • Ensure that staff and processes operate within the safe operating envelope within the manufacturing areas
  • Lead the team to deliver the production plans and material management and allocation
  • Task management of logistics and supply chain staff within the Tech Centre to meet production and material management requirements
  • Report to Tech Centre management on progress, issues and performance
  • Provide strategic and tactical advice to Tech Centre management on the effective delivery of production targets
  • Report via Tech Management any capacity constraints to allow for priority programme decisions to be made
  • Delivery via the production planning and materials management processes within the Process Framework
  • Potential line management responsibility of Production Scheduling, and order book management.

To be considered for this opportunity, you'll need the following:

  • Significant relevant experience against the requirements of the role and experience in planning within manufacturing
  • Proven track record of driving delivery, performance and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrates financial awareness and improvements
  • Effective people leadership and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Sound knowledge in production planning and materials management techniques
  • Subject matter expertise in Manufacturing and Production planning processes
  • Significant ESH skills and knowledge to enable you to lead, deploy and deliver improved ESH performance
