The role
As a Software Test Analyst, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you will be a key player in supporting the Royal Navy's IT applications to ensure timely software deliveries and quality assurance.

Day to day, you'll be predominantly supporting the test function spanning Oracle, .Net and Appian technologies and customer portfolio.

  • Supporting the Test Team with test documentation including detailed test cases covering both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Using specific test tools such as Test Rail, AzureDevOps and Selenium for test execution
  • Provide support of the testing the complex solutions including working with the Test Analysts, Business Analysts, Developers, and the Test Lead closely with good communication skills

This role is full time OR part time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Software Test Analyst:

  • Software Application Test Analyst with significant experience, including some SQL and/or Oracle Database
  • Previous experience in software testing roles
  • Some SQL / Oracle database understanding (preference)

Qualifications for the Software Test Analyst:

  • ISTQB Test Analyst Foundation certification is required.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
